What Is Careprost Eye Drops 3ml
- Careprost Eye Drops is an ophthalmic solution that treats people with Glaucoma and high intraocular pressure.
- Glaucoma is a cluster of diseases that damages the optic nerve due to increased intraocular pressure.
- It may cause vision impairments that can result in blindness. Aside from helping with Glaucoma, Careprost is FDA-approved and is well known for aiding in eyelash growth.
- Sun Pharmaceutical manufactures Careprost Bimatoprost Ophthalmic Solution 0.03, a Prostaglandin Analogue. It is only sold with a doctor’s prescription.
Uses Of Careprost
- Treats glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye)
How Careprost Works
Careprost lowers the intraocular pressure, where bimatoprost works by improving the draining of the fluids (aqueous humour) inside the eye. This relieves the eyes and consequently eliminates the high intraocular pressure.
Directions For Use
Follow the Careprost dosage as recommended by your physician. It is for ophthalmic use only. Wash your hands before use. Apply a few drops of Careprost into the affected eye. Close your eyes and touch the corner of your eye with your finger for a minute.
Avoid contamination by not touching the tip of the dropper with your eye or any other body surface. After applying Careprost, wait for at least 5 minutes before applying any other eye drops or ointment. If you wear soft contact lenses, take off the lens before Careprost application and wait at least 15 minutes before reinsertion.
The dose and duration is decided by your doctor depending on your age, body weight and the disease condition. Do not discontinue using Careprost without consulting your physician, because the intraocular pressure can increase again.
Side EffectsÂ
Some side effects may occur while using the eye drop, such as: –
